As we’re previously reported, on December 23, a benefit concert for Tom “TC” Constanten, will take place at the Ashkenaz Music & Dance Community Center in Berkeley, Calif. The event will raise funds to support the Grateful Dead/Does Hermanos keyboard player as he undergoes treatment for lung cancer.
Constanten will be part of the house band that evening, along with Scott Guberman, Mark Karan, Prairie Prince, John Paul McLean, Anna Elva, and Sam Whitman. They will joined by a slate of special guests, including Sunshine Garcia Becker, Reed Mathis, David Gans, Bob Bralove Skip Eye, John Hanrahan and Ryan Densmore.
A second benefit has been added on December 22. O’Reilly’s Pub in the Haight-Ashbury section of San Francisco will host the event which will feature music from Scott Guberman & Friends. The confirmed participants include Gans, Mathis, Whitman and Hanrahan. A “surprise guest” will join in the action as well.
Folks who wish to support Constanten but cannot attend the to shows can do so via a GoFundMe or the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund.
