Suwannee Roots Revival Adds Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway, Plus More to Final 2024 Artist Lineup
Suwannee Roots Revival has released another batch of artists on the ticket for the eighth annual festival, set to take place Oct. 10-13 at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park (SOSMP) in Live Oak, Fla. Bluegrass outfit Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway will join previously announced veteran folk ensemble Old Crow Medicine Show as the event’s headlining performers. Paul McDonald & The Mourning Doves, Jim Lauderdale & The Game Changers, The Grass Is Dead, Walter Parks & The Unlawful Assembly, Jon Stickley Trio, The Lee Boys, Verlon Thompson and Mosier Brothers Band are also among the most recent additions to the star-studded bill.
Also included in the Americana-focused festival’s previously announced acts is the Colorado jamgrass quartet Yonder Mountain String Band, making its festival debut. Folk-rock ensemble Donna the Buffalo is once again set to perform—the group will mark their eighth consecutive appearance at the festival with a performance each day. Other previously revealed performers set to grace multiple stages over the course of the four-day festival include Peter Rowan Walls of Time Band with Don Grant Reggaebilly, Della Mae, Henhouse Prowlers, The Ain’t Sisters and others.
Founded in the late nineties by Beth and Randy Judy, the event’s many iterations have expressed an unwavering commitment to cultivating American roots music. For this reason, many amenities on the 800-acre campground–which include yoga, music workshops, kids activities, raffles and vast culinary options–benefit local charities like Live Oak Music and Arts Foundation, which supports arts programs in North Florida schools. This year, in honor of cofounder Randy Judy, who passed away this April, Big Cosmo’s Sunshine Daydream Celebration of Life will take place on the festival’s first day.
