On October 10-13, 2024, Desert Daze will return to Lake Perris, Calif., the gathering’s preferred location since 2018. After taking a year off in 2023, the event is slated to come back with another unique offering of genre-bending entertainment, dipping into the psych rock, hip-hop, electronic and jazz catalogs. As a look ahead, the folks behind the Golden State event have delivered the official artist lineup.

Taking over the main stage during the mid-October occurrence are Jack White, fresh off his vinyl-only No Name release, in addition to Cigarettes After Sex, who just finished two sold-out nights at Los Angeles’ Kia Forum, Philadelphia singer-songwriter Alex G and reassembled prog rock favorites, The Mars Volta. 

Apart from headliners, Desert Daze has pulled together three days’ worth of live entertainment, slated to culminate in appearances by hip-hop-leaning legends De La Soul, Souls Of Mischief and Danny Brown; bass demiurge Thundercat; hyper pop favorites 100 Gec and Liz Phair. Fleet Foxes, Sleep, Marc Rebillet, Molchat Doma, The Kills, Floating Points, Power Trip, Beach Fossils, DIIV, Unwound, Converge, Otoboke Beaver, Charlotte Adigery + Bolis Pupul, Say She She, Wisp, Hinds, Sasami have also signed on. 

In addition to musical performances, the 2024 event will include original riot grrrl and punk-rock hero Kathleen Hanna, who will read from her New York Times bestselling memoir Rebel Girl: My Life as a Feminist Punk and also partake in conversation with Cedric Bixler-Zavala (The Mars Volta, At The Drive-In). Moreover, Death From Above 1979 will play through its debut album, You’re A Woman, I’m A Machine, to mark the set’s 20th anniversary. Temples’ will deliver a 10th-anniversary performance of their debut album, Sun Structures.
