June 26, 2016

Phil Lesh & Friends have been added to the lineup for the fourth annual Lockn’ Festival. The Grateful Dead bassist joins a stacked bill that also includes Phish, My Morning Jacket, Ween, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Umphrey’s McGee, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Gary Clark. Jr., Peter Wolf, The Wailers, Hard Working Americans, Twiddle and many others. Lockn’ will return to Arrington, VA from August 25-28. Phil & Friends will appear on both Saturday, August 27 and Sunday, August 28.

Lesh performed at the first Lockn’ with Furthur in 2013 and returned with Phil Lesh & Friends in 2014 and 2015. Last year, the bassist’s Friends lineup included a rare collaboration with Carlos Santana. Our Friends at Jambase.com are also reporting that Phil Lesh & Friends—featuring Lesh along with his son Grahame Lesh, fellow guitarists Ross James and Scott Law, keyboardist Jason Crosby and drummer Alex Koford—will make their first trek to Hawaii this December. On December 29, the band will appear at Castle Theater in Maui, and they will ring in 2017 at the Hawaii Theatre in Honolulu on New Year’s Eve proper.
