Today marks the 80th birthday of bluegrass legend Del McCoury, and the musician’s namesake festival, DelFest, is celebrating with the additions of several artists to its 2019 lineup, including Yonder Mountain String Band, Tyler Childers, Sam Bush and Keller Williams’ PettyGrass featuring The Hillbenders.

Also added today are The SteelDrivers, Joe Craven & The Sometimers, The Larry Keel Experience, Frank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen, Kitchen Dwellers, Lindsay Lou, Front Country, Pixie & The Partygrass Boys, and Marty O’Reilly & The Old Soul Orchestra.

The additions join a lineup already featuring festival hosts The Del McCoury Band and The Travelin’ McCourys, plus The String Cheese Incident, Trampled By Turtles, Railroad Earth, I’m With Her, The Marcus King Band, Billy Strings, Sierra Hull, Gibson Brothers & The Mockingbird Band and more.

Festival organizers also shared a video of many of the artists on the 2019 lineup wishing Del McCoury a happy birthday—with voices, instruments and more—starting with his sons Ronnie and Rob. See that tribute below.

DelFest is set for May 23–26 at the Allegany County Fairgrounds in Cumberland, MD. All festival information can be found here.
