Video Premiere: Grateful Shred Get Animated for “China Cat Sunflower / I Know You Rider”

For the second installment of their animated film series, Grateful Shred have shared their version of the classic Grateful Dead couplet “China Cat Sunflower”> “I Know You Rider.”
The 13-plus minute clip was filmed live on Sept. 7, 2019 at Pappy & Harriet’s in Pioneertown, Calif.
It encapsulates the band’s laid-back, twangy, West Coast approach to the Dead songbook, complete with tripped-out animations.
Grateful Shred are set to perform a number of high-profile gigs through the end of 2019/beginning of 2020, namely two shows at the Troubadour in Los Angeles (Nov. 15 and 16), two shows at The Independent in San Francisco (Dec. 20 and 21) and a set on Jam Cruise (Jan. 7-12).
