Hello It’s Me: Todd Rundgren at Bearsville Theatre (A Gallery)

Last night, Oct. 22, Todd Rundgren returned to his old Woodstock, N.Y. stomping grounds. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer participated in night one of two sold-out concerts at the historic Bearsville Theater.
The Catskills location is famously attributed to Rundgrens’ catalog of releases, beginning with his earliest self-titled solo release, 1970’s Runt, which featured members of The Band, Rick Danko, and Levon Helms (a regional resident, Pink House). Bearsville Records remained the artist’s attributed label clear through 1982’s The Ever Popular Tortured Artist Effect, his last record before it officially ceased operations in 1985.
Drawing on material from his vast web of songs, Rundgren paid tribute to his past via thoughtful pulls that alluded to his stories past at Bearsville. Scroll down to view photos by Bahram Foroughi.
Rundgren returns to Bearsville tonight. Tickets are sold out.
