Watch: Phish Finally Bring Back “Scents & Subtle Sounds” in Philadelphia

For 2.0 era songs like “Nothing,” “Pebbles and Marbles,” “Scents and Subtle Sounds” and more, it’s been tough sledding in the new era of Phish. Many of those songs appear once, maybe twice a year, and then vanish just as quickly. Thankfully, when they do appear, they manage to bring the house down, much like Phish’s latest pro-shot video.
On August 12 at The Mann Center in Philadelphia, PA, during the band’s fantastic five-song second set, “Scents” came out to play for just the second time since 2011, intro and all, and brought with it a fifteen-minute jam that held its own following a massive, 22-minute “Twist.”
