Video Premiere: Residual Kid “Chill”

July 19, 2016

Earlier this year, Austin-based trio Residual Kid released their major label debut EP, Salsa, on Sire/Warner Bros. Records. Today we premiere the official video for “Chill” from the garage-punk trio with an affinity for distortion in the live setting. Residual Kid, who caused a stir at this year’s SXSW, feature 18-year-old singer and guitarist Deven Ivy, along with 16-year-old bassist Max Redman and his 17-year-old brother drummer Ben Redman. Ivy tells Relix, “I like this video because the whole thing looks the few seconds after you emerge from a dark cave, before your eyes have adjusted to the bright sun.” The group is currently touring out West, with their latest dates listed below the new video.
