Earlier this year NEEDTOBREATHE recorded a session for the Live Room series in which artists perform live sessions in iconic studios. NEEDTOBREATHE appeared at Ocean Way Recordings in Los Angeles and the group’s set included this version of “Wastleland,” which we premiere today. The group’s Bear Rinehart explains, “We were originally going to title the new record Wasteland. At that time it really represented where we were as a band. However as we reached a place of hope in our relationships with each other by the end of its creation, it no longer felt right to call it Wasteland. The record is biographical in that way that it followed our journey. That was where we started and that is why it is the first track. It is definitely one of my favorite songs on the new record.”
