Video Premiere: Israel Nash “LA Lately”

October 15, 2015

Israel Nash and his band have just kicked off a fall tour in support of their new album. Israel Nash’s Silver Season  the follow-up to 2013’s Rain Plans, was written and recorded on Nash’s 15-acre ranch in Dripping Springs, TX, where Nash and his bandmates built Plum Creek Sound, a 1,400 square-foot Quonset studio. The group then recorded to tape, once again working with engineer Ted Young (Kurt Vile, Sonic Youth).

Today we premiere the official video for “LA Lately” from Israel Nash’s Silver Season. Nash tells Relix, “‘LA Lately’ is a song that was written on the road while we were leaving LA after our show. There is something magical about that city and the song is all about our experience. From getting there, to being there, and -as we do- moving along and leaving. When it was time to shoot a music video, it really seamed like the only place to be. The video is unabashedly a journey through the layers of Los Angeles. I also learned that you should take any chance you get to hang out in a backyard in Laurel Canyon. So make a friend or two down there while you’re at it.”
