Today we’re premiering the new video from Dirty Heads. “Sloth’s Revenge” will appear on the group’s forthcoming album, Home- Phantoms of Summer: The Acoustic Sessions, which is set for release on October 29 and is now available for pre-order.

Here is what Jared “Dirty J” Watson has to say about “Sloth’s Revenge”: “The song already had a lot to it between Duddy’s guitar lick and verses, he had come up with a big chunk of the song. All we really needed were some Jon Jon tasteys and a hook, so we sat around and messed with ideas. We had always talked about doing a Goonies-inspired song and this hook is what came out. I had the first half of the hook already and we were hesitant to actually use the word Goonies. We were trying to find away to put in “never say die” without being blatant. But then with some discussion we just said fuck it if we are gonna use a Goonies reference, we need to go all out. Our plan is to force you to like the song because we say Goonies. ‘Cause if you don’t like that movie, you’re a kook!”
