Video Premiere: Black Stone Cherry with Warren Haynes “Evil”

Back in April, Black Stone Cherry released their latest studio record, Family Tree. The Kentucky-based rock group then took to the road with Gov’t Mule, in support of the album. Warren Haynes guests on Family Tree and joined the band on stage during this run. Here Haynes appears with Black Stone Cherry for a take on Cactus’ version of the Howlin’ Wolf tune “Evil.”

The group tells Relix, “Touring with Govt Mule was like going to school each night. Their effortless ability to improvise on the spot and their musicianship is in a solar system of its own. Having Warren jam with us while on tour was an absolute honor. In the business we are in, we often find ourselves in the same general vicinity as many of our heroes. To be able to share the stage with one of them, is an absolute dream come true. The impact and influence Warren Haynes has had on our band not only as musicians but as people is something we will always cherish and hold near and dear.”

Black Stone Cherry is currently touring in the U.S. before heading to Europe in November.
