Ron Pope will release his new album Work on August 18 and today we’re proud to premiere a new song from that record “Let’s Get Stoned.” 

On the song, Pope says, “We cut this one in Texas at our friend Israel Nash’s place; we had to slay with that dude around, because his records are killer…couldn’t embarrass ourselves at Israel’s house! We’d been on tour for months at that point and I was kind of slowly dying from not enough sleep, too many meals eaten standing up, not enough sleep, etc etc etc. I was all jacked up on probably five cups of coffee and, without me knowing, the rest of the band was walking around outside and bumped into someone who offered them a joint. They came in loose as hell.”
