Seu Jorge at the Blue Note (A Gallery)

Last week, Brazilian singer-songwriter Seu Jorge kicked off a residency at New York’s Blue Note that picks back up tonight and runs through this weekend. Jorge’s shows feature a number of original compositions, along with a selection of David Bowie covers sung in Portuguese—like “Changes,” “Rebel, Rebel” and “Life On Mars”—as made famous by his contributions to the soundtrack for Wes Anderson’s 2004 film The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.
