Sacha Baron Cohen has an Incredible Story about Liam Gallagher and Bono

Sacha Baron Cohen (the guy who played Borat) appeared on Conan last night and told an incredible story about a not-so-pleasant run in with Oasis frontman and all-around grouch Liam Gallagher. The story arose because Cohen’s character in his new film The Brother Grimsby is inspired by the Gallagher brother.

To set the scene, it’s Cohen, Bono and Gallagher at an afterparty for the GQ Awards where Cohen was honored. It starts with Gallagher asking the actor, “Who’s the greatest living rock star?” After Cohen was confused as to who to pick, he opted for Stevie Wonder. I’m not about spoiling the ending, so I’ll just say at some point Gallagher threatens to stab Cohen in the eye after proclaiming he is John Lennon.
