My Morning Jacket in Cleveland (A Gallery)

June 10, 2015

After 10 days off My Morning Jacket began the next leg of concert dates supporting the band’s latest album, The Waterfall, on June 3 at Cleveland’s State Theatre. Surprisingly, the band did not play its latest single, “Big Decisions,” but the sold out crowd didn’t seem to mind one bit. Besides opening with “Believe (Nobody Knows),” the show included six more tracks from the new album as well as favorites such as “Mahgeetah,” “Wordless Chorus” and “Victory Dance.” Jim James also pointed out that this was a homecoming show for keyboardist, and Lakewood, Ohio native, Bo Koster.

Photographer John Patrick Gatta was on hand to capture MMJ on the Playhouse Square stage, which found James regularly walking along the edge of the stage to be near fans in the front row.
