Fruit Bats’ Eric Johnson Covers Velvet Underground with My Morning Jacket

My Morning Jacket closed their three night run at San Francisco’s Masonic Auditorium (which is a really, really cool looking venue by the way) with a special collaboration of a longtime cover for the group as they welcomed out Fruit Bats’ Eric Johnson for a take on Velvet Underground’s “Oh! Sweet Nuthin’.”
The cover is a staple in the MMJ repertoire and they’ve even played it with Neil Young as a tribute to Lou Reed at Young’s Bridge School Benefit concert.
