Foundation of Funk at The Capitol Theatre (A Gallery)

Before heading down to Virginia’s LOCKN’ Festival for a Saturday performance that featured sit ins from Dead & Company’s Bob Weir, John Mayer, Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart, Foundation of Funk brought their celebration of 50 years of funk godfathers The Meters to The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY. The New Orleans-centric collective features original Meters members George Porter Jr. and Zigaboo Modeliste, along with Cyril Neville and Dumpstaphunk’s Ivan Neville, Ian Neville and Tony Hall.
