Check Out Washington Nationals Pitcher Sean Doolittle’s Phish-Inspired Wilson Glove
If you’re familiar with Washington Nationals’ relief pitcher Sean Doolittle, you’d know that his answer to the question “can you still have fun?” is an emphatic “yes.” Whether it’s bounding around with a lightsaber after games or appearing on NPR’s Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me podcast, Doolittle is wont to enjoy myself… er himself.
This time, The World Series champion decided to have a some fun with his new baseball glove for the 2020 MLB season. Doolittle just signed a new endorsement deal with Wilson Sporting Goods, and for his first custom-made glove with the brand, he decided to create a Phish-inspired glove.
“I’m so excited to be joining the Wilson Sporting Goods family for the 2020 season,” Doolittle wrote via Twitter. “I wanted to do something fun for my first glove so I created a custom Phish-inspired ‘Wilson’ design!”
The glove of course features the word “Wilson,” but it also has the words “Duke of Lizards” embroidered on the thumb and “Punch You In The Eye” on the ring finger.
