Song Premiere: Cereus Bright “Claustrophobic”

July 28, 2016

Knoxville, TN’s Cereus Bright, the quintet that features founding members Tyler Anthony and Evan Ford along with Luke Bowers, Matt Nelson and Jake Smith, teamed with Tom Schick (Wilco, Ryan Adams & the Cardinals) for their new album Excuses, due out on July 29. Recorded in their home state of Tennessee and mixed at the legendary Wilco Loft in Chicago, Anthony calls the result “upbeat songs about hard subjects” adding the record covers topics like selfishness, loneliness and fear.

Ford adds, “We decided to evaluate everything we had done in the past and see if it belonged in the future. It was a process of figuring out who we are as a band. What we ended up with is an album that’s more mature, sonically diverse, and has more to say.”

Today, we premiere a new track from the record, “Claustrophobic.” Listen below and pre-order the album here.
