Bill Walton Gives Wonderfully Fascinating Interview on ‘Pardon My Take’ Podcast

March 8, 2017

Bill Walton appeared on the
Pardon My Take podcast with Big Cat and PFT Commenter, one of the more entertaining sports podcasts out there, and it was as entertaining as you’d expect.

Of course, Walton dabbles in Grateful Dead talk, particularly when naming off his heroes which included Bob Dylan, Martin Luther King, Bobby Kennedy and Jerry Garcia, among many others. He also dishes on the very first concert he went to–a Santana gig when he was in high school. Walton recounts meandering on the beach during the day and then going to see Santana play.

Walton also routinely recommended Robert Greenfield’s book on Bill Graham’s life. The whole thing is a fascinating, wonderful look into the mind of Bill Walton. He closes with a line truer than life: “Getting lost implies that I know where I am to begin with.”
