Bill Murray is a God, not the God, but he was at Fare Thee Well this weekend in Chicago and brought home the photo to prove it. Murray could be spotted hanging out backstage with an all-star cast that included: Jenny Lewis, Chloe Sevigny, Phish’s Mike Gordon and Page McConnell. Perry Farrell, John Popper, John Mayer, Katy Perry, Al Franken, George RR Martin, John Popper, David Axelrod, Woody Harrelson, Sonic Youth’s Lee Renaldo, Yo La Tengo’s Ira Kaplan, Liz Phair, Lars Ulrich, Colts owner Jim Irsay and members of Wilco, The National, The Avett Brothers, moe., the Disco Biscuits, Lettuce and a host of others. 

After the finale on Sunday, Murray spent some time with the band members themselves and Jenny Lewis thankfully snapped this shot of Murray and Lesh sharing a probably hilarious moment backstage. 

The former Rilo Kiley member’s Instagram account is pure Fare Thee Well gold, and it is highly recommended that you can through some of her pictures and videos from the weekend. Lewis also participated in some music over the weekend as she joined Alex Bleeker and the Freaks at City Winery to sing on some Grateful Dead tunes along with many other special guests including Ira Kaplan, Lee Ranaldo and others.
