The annual Great Night in Harlem event took place over the weekend at the Apollo Theater. Musical director Steven Bernstein and the Kansas City Band (from the Robert Altman film) supplied the musical backbone with Henry Butler on piano. The evening’s special guests included Elvis Costello, Macy Gray, Jonathan Batiste and Chad Smith. Dino Perrucci shares his photos.
