Today is the official release of the long-anticipated Widespread Panic studio album Dirty Side Down on ATO Records. As our review indicates, Dirty Side Down “is not only a reminder of Panic’s breadth of influences, but also its range of talents.” Starting today and running through Thursday, we will post daily podcasts (“Panic Pods”) that feature each of the band members sharing insight on the various tracks. Today, John Bell, Dave Schools and Jimmy Herring offer their thoughts on “Saint Ex,” “North,” “This Cruel Thing” and the title track.
