Grammy-winning pianist, bandleader and producer Robert Glasper kicked off his monthlong residency at New York’s Blue Note jazz club on Thursday evening with special guest Yasiin Bey (f.k.a. Mos Def). Bey’s former Black Star collaborator Talib Kweli was also in attendance celebrating his 44th birthday, and the rapper joined the group on stage near the end of the early show.
