Video Premiere: John Németh “Kool Aid Pickle”

May 16, 2017

John Németh describes his forthcoming album, Feelin’ Freaky, set for release this Friday, May 19, via Memphis Grease Records, as “a huge milestone.” The Memphis artist whose last record, 2015’s Memphis Grease, earned him the Blues Music Award for Best Soul Blues Album, enlisted Luther Dickinson to produce Feelin’ Freaky. Németh and his group the Blue Dreamers worked with Dickinson at his family’s Zebra Ranch Studios in Mississippi to record the 11 originals that Németh explains, came “from the deepest reaches of my bag.”

Today we premiere the video for “Kool Aid Pickle” from Feelin’ Freaky which is now available for pre-order. Edward Valibus directed the video and Németh adds, “Kool Aid Pickle, it’s a southern innovation!”

Starting on May 19, Németh his Blue Dreamers will take to the road with his band in support of the record and the upcoming dates appear below the video.
