Last night, Eggy and Dogs In A Pile co-headlined a show as part of Virginia Beach, VA’s Oceanfront Concert Series. The two ascendant jambands have experienced parallel career growth during the past few years, crossing paths on occasion at festivals and more hard-ticket shows, including a highly collaborative, two-night Thanksgiving weekend run at Port Chester, NY’s Capitol Theatre in 2024.

At yesterday’s gig, Dogs In A Pile played first and then Eggy offered a set, which included covers of both Crosby, Stills & Nash’s “Southern Cross” and Big Thief’s “Time Escaping.” During their encore, Eggy also brought back the members of Dogs In A Pile for a duel-band take on David Bowie’s classic “Let’s Dance.” Eggy started covering the tune in 2024 and have continued to play it on occasion, though they had night dusted it off since an April 10, 2025 show in Wilmington, NC before last night. Dogs In A Pile covered the enduring number one previous time, at the Coastal Taproom in Rehoboth Beach, DE on June 19, 2025.

Eggy will return to Wilmington this evening for a show at the Bowstring Brewyard while Dogs in a Pile will appear at the Levitt Pavilion in Westport, CT tomorrow.
