Widespread Panic Announce Three-Night Chicago Run, Share Band Practice Video with Jimmy Herring

Widespread Panic have announced three consecutive nights of music slated to take place from June 4-6, 2025, at The Chicago Theatre. The band’s Windy City return prompts the continuation of their monthly live shows, following a series of prior announcements, which originated with their February 14-16 run in Atlantic City. The aforementioned dates marked the band’s official return after a series of cancellations stemming from Jimmy Herring’s stage 1 tonsil cancer diagnosis–publicized by the band in July 2024.

The group’s New Jersey Hard Rock dates initiated their comeback. They followed up and continued their monthly rollout of concert announcements with March 21-23 dates at The St. Augustine Amphitheater in St. Augustine, Fla. The band’s forthcoming live dates swelled further with the addition of April 24-26 concerts at Ascend Amphitheater in Nashville, ahead of their two-night Charleston, S.C., return on May 16 and 17.

As an added reference point, Widespread preluded their Chicago announcement by sharing a video across their official social media channels. The clip captures Herring’s return to band practice alongside John Bell, Dave Schools, Domingo Ortiz, Duane Trucks, and JoJo Hermann. Set to “Little By Little,” the video provides a welcomed visual to aid the band’s highly anticipated return to the stage.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, February 7, at 10 am CT. For more information, visit widespreadpanic.com.
