Watch Patterson Hood Pay Tribute to Malcolm Young with The Hold Steady at Brooklyn Bowl

November 30, 2017

The Hold Steady brought their holiday run to the Brooklyn Bowl, kicking off four nights at the venue with a series of surprise openers. Last night’s opener arrived in the form of Patterson Hood, the lead man of Drive-By Truckers and, as Craig Finn mentioned, one of the band’s “living heroes.”

Hood and The Hold Steady came together to pay homage to a fallen hero, a cover of AC/DC’s Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap blues rocker “Ride On” to kick off their encore in memory of the late Malcolm Young.
