Watch Dead & Company Get Interviewed By Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen on New Year’s Eve

Just a few hours before their marathon New Year’s Eve gig, Dead & Company made an appearance on CNN to be interviewed by Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper.

Cohen takes the lead on the interview as he is a known Deadhead – spotted most recently at the band’s Halloween MSG gig.

When he asks Bob Weir to explain the Deadhead phenomenon, the guitarist says, “There are all kinds of Deadheads. You got tech guys, you got CEOs, you got gas station attendants, you got – you know – probably serial murderers. Not a lot of ’em. All kinds of folks… They’re a certain kind of person who requires a little adventure in their lives and therefore they require a little adventure in the music they listen to, and we’re happy to provide that for them.”

Later, Cohen wonders if the band feels the presence of late guitarist Jerry Garcia onstage, to which Weir responds, “Every night all the time.”
