At midnight, Daniel Donato released an in-studio live version of “Dance In The Desert,” a cut from his sophomore album, Reflector, shot by renowned photographer and director Danny Clinch and shared via the musician’s official YouTube channel. The new video lands on the same day as Donato and Cosmic Country’s sold-out Bowery Ballroom stand in New York City.

The new video captures Donato and his band, Nathan Aronowitz (keyboards, vocals), Will McGee (bass, vocals), and Will Clark (drums), at Fireside Sound in Joshua Tree, Calif., the studio owned by Chris Thorne of Blind Melon. The band builds on the original composition in the clip, doubling its initial run time with added instrumentation akin to their live approach and willingness to improvise on the spot.

The ensemble will continue to stretch its material to the live stage following tonight’s sold-out Big Apple appearance when they kick off a Southern leg of tour dates beginning tomorrow, Feb. 14, at Capital One Hall in Tyson, Va. From there, they will participate in two North Carolina stands before an appearance at SweetWater’s 27th Anniversary Party in Atlanta on Feb. 17.
