Umphrey’s McGee has shared an update regarding Jake Cinninger’s participation during their upcoming March Run. In a message posted on social media, the band disclosed that Cinninger will not be joining them on their 14-stop West Coast run, which begins this evening, March 10, at Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach, Calif. The statement claims Cinninger’s absence stems from “personal reasons.”

The full message to fans and followers, alerting them of the change in lineup, read:

We’re writing to share the difficult news that Jake will not be joining us on the upcoming March run.

He is taking a necessary leave of absence for personal reasons. We love him immensely and support him completely.

Cancelling shows didn’t feel right – but bringing everything we’ve got does. And we will bring it.

Thank you for your endless support, for us and for Jake.

We’ll see you out west soon.

– Umphrey’s McGee

Cinninger’s March absence comes after February’s sudden change, when he dropped out of the Suwannee Amp Jam #2 the day before showtime. Like last month’s update, the latest note arrived a day before their call time.

Umphrey’s McGee will spend the majority of their run in California, before taking their proficient skills through the Pacific Northwest. The final slate of dates will bring them through Montana and Wyoming for one-offs.

After submitting their March Run, Umphrey’s McGee will take a brief break away from the stage before their promised appearance at Sweetwater 420 Fest, which comes ahead of the band’s highly anticipated destination event, Deep Dive, April 30-May 3, in Cancun.
