Trey Anastasio Band Announce Return to the Stage in Los Angeles
Fans of Trey Anastasio Band rejoice. The group has announced a concert on August 1, 2025, at The Bellwether in Los Angeles.
The impending appearance comes after a break in live performances for the ensemble, which last played on September 15, 2024, at Sea.Hear.Now, when they were joined by a New Jersey great, Bruce Springsteen. The City of Angels gig also marks the first time the full TAB lineup has toured since 2023, shortly after the tragic passing of James Casey.
Anastasio’s Los Angeles concert will arrive the same weekend as Dead & Company’s Golden Gate Park celebration, where he is billed to open the third and final night of the occasion, Sunday, August 3.
Prior to Anastasio’s involvement in Dead & Co.’s jubilee, Billy Strings will entertain ahead of the main act on Friday, August 1, followed by Sturgill Simpson on Saturday, August 2. Read more. In tandem with the event, The San Francisco Giants and Relix have teamed up to present the Heart of Town, a three-night concert series celebrating the Grateful Dead and the city that shaped the band. Hosted by Grahame Lesh & Friends, nightly performances will take place from July 31 to August 2 at Pier 48 in Mission Rock, near Oracle Park.
TAB’s Los Angeles concert arrives amid Phish’s Summer Tour, and follows the Vermont jamband’s annual run on the Broadview Stage at Saratoga Performing Arts Center, July 25-27. Phish will hold their tour till September, resuming their road commitments on September 13-14 at the Coca-Cola Amphitheater in Birmingham, Ala. Read about Phish’s Summer 2025 Tour dates here.
