The Rock and Roll Playhouse Launches Free Live Music Webcasts for Kids

To help families in self-quarantine, The Rock and Roll Playhouse has teamed up with In The Raw and New York City’s Rockefeller Center to offer regularly scheduled live music broadcasts aimed at kids at home who are “looking to fill those ‘I’m bored!’ moments.”

“We’re jamming with some of our favorite local musicians and teachers from across the country in an effort to support our musical community,” reads an official announcement. With this new online initiative, The RRPH wants to “keep your kids busy, engaged, and most of all, happy!”

In addition to weekday programming at 3 p.m. ET on The Rock and Roll Playhouse Facebook, you can watch family concerts every Sunday at 11 a.m. ET via the Rockefeller Center Facebook.

The Rock and Roll Playhouse has been covered by the New York Times and prior guests for the company’s live shows have included Phil Lesh, Warren Haynes, Scott Metzger, Katie Jacoby, Oteil Burbridge, Nicki Bluhm, George Porter Jr., Warren Haynes and many more.

Since its 2013 launch in New York City, The RRPH has expanded to 30 cities nationwide.
