The Last Waltz New Orleans to Feature Robbie Robertson, Warren Haynes, Ivan Neville and More

On Saturday, May 2 – while the city of New Orleans is in the throes of its annual Jazz & Heritage Festival – a number of musicians will descend upon the Saenger Theatre for a celebration of The Last Waltz, including a rare performance by Robbie Robertson of The Band.
“New Orleans has always been a special and influential place,” Robertson said via press release. “I am honored to continue the tradition of celebrating The Last Waltz with this extraordinary lineup in a city that has meant so much to me.”
Additional performers at the event will include Warren Haynes, Ivan Neville, John Medeski, Jamey Johnson, Don Was, Dave Malone of The Radiators, Bob Margolin, Terence Higgins of the Dirty Dozen Brass Band and Mark Mullins of Bonerama. The Levee Horns will also be present, as will a number of surprise special guests.
According to organizers, this performance is a part of Blackbird Presents’ annual “Second Weekend at The Saenger” concert series.
