Texas Eclipse 2024 Shines a Light on First Round of Programming: Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Vulfpeck, Tipper, Oteil & Friends and More
A celestial and musical extravaganza of a lifetime has been announced with the first phase of talent and interactive experiences at the eagerly anticipated Texas Eclipse 2024 festival. The event, produced by Disco Donnie Presents (DDP) and experiential event company Probably Nothing, will take place at Reveille Peak Ranch in Burnet, Texas, from April 5-9, 2024.
The festival expects 50,000 music lovers and eclipse aficionados from around the globe for their five days of cosmic celebration, artistic expression, consciousness exploration, and curiosity, all in honor of the historic 2024 Total Solar Eclipse – which won’t appear across this part of the world again until 2046.
The first phase of announcement lineups, touted as “First Contact,” showcases a star-studded roster of boundary-pushing artists who will grace the festival’s six distinct stages, each a world unto itself. Standout acts include the transcendent STS9, Disco Biscuits, Oteil & Friends, Vulfpeck, Big Gigantic, Clozee, Lee Burridge, Dirtwire, Bob Moses (Club Set), Boogie T, Tycho, Tipper, Subtronics, Desert Hearts, LP Giobbi, Zeds Dead, Boogie T, Barclay Crenshaw and many more.
Disco Donnie himself expressed his excitement, stating, “We’re excited to share today’s ‘First Contact Announcement’ of the Texas Eclipse Festival’s musical lineup. We’ve curated an incredible mix of artists from around the world, representing diverse genres and styles, all coming together under the captivating backdrop of the 2024 total solar eclipse. This promises to be an extraordinary experience where music, art, technology, and space converge in a truly unique way.”
But the Texas Eclipse Festival is more than just a musical spectacle. It promises to transcend the ordinary and usher attendees into a realm of immersive experiences that awaken consciousness and explore the frontiers of science, wellness, sustainability, and Indigenous wisdom. On-site experiences include a family and kids education area, science workshops to explore paradigm-shifting ideas under the vast Texas skies, sustainability sessions, conversations with Indigenous leaders, yoga and movement sessions along with a Consciousness Zone and Healing Oasis.
Reveille Peak Ranch is a short drive from San Antonio and neighboring Austin, which is known for its open and vast skies. The rare celestial spectacle will see 4 minutes and 20 seconds of totality. This 1,300+ acre venue, nestled in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, features wooded forests for camping, 60 miles of trails to explore, hilltops for elevated viewing, and much more.
