Today, the rubberband man Rayland Baxter announced that he will set out on a spring tour in 2023. The tour dates are in support of the Tennessee-based guitarist and singer-songwriter’s latest offering, If I Were A Butterfly, which was released on Nov. 4, 2022, via ATO Records.

Baxter’s tour will begin nestled in the Rocky Mountains at the Belly Up in Aspen, Colo., on March 21. Despite the prime conditions for mountain sports, the touring party will have little time to ride as they’ll perform at The Gothic Theatre in Denver the following day. After leaving the Mile High City, they’ll take the album and choice cuts from Baxter’s past discography to Salt Lake City’s The Commonwealth Room on March 24. From there, they’ll head to Boise, Ind.’s Treefort Festival on March 25.

The march will continue with performances down the West Coast, starting at The Crocodile Showroom in Seattle on March 27. Baxter and company will then enjoy the views and vistas of The Golden State, starting with San Francisco, followed by stops in Pioneertown, Los Angles and San Diego through April 3. Next, they’ll perform at the Crescent Ballroom in Phoenix, Ariz., on April 4 and stay in the desert haze for a show at the Tumbleroot Brewery and Distillery on April 5. The spring shows’ penultimate performance will take place at Tulips in Forth Worth, Texas, on April 7 and conclude the following day, April 8, at Austin, Texas 3TEN ACL Live.
