Preservation Hall Named Spotify COVID-19 Music Relief Partner

Spotify has teamed up with Preservation Hall to help raise money for the New Orleans landmark’s foundation.

As part of their COVID-19 Music Relief initiative, Spotify will “match all donations made to the Preservation Hall Foundation and other nonprofit partners, up to $10 million.”

“This is an incredible opportunity to lift up our Musical Collective and continue to provide not only financial support, but ongoing resources, including meals and grocery delivery for our elder master practitioners,” reads an official statement.

“Since March we’ve been closed,” explains Preservation Hall director Ben Jaffe in a new video message. “And normally this place would be filled with joy and happiness and music being played by members of our 60-member collective. We want to say thank you for keeping us in your hearts and keeping us in your thoughts.”
