Pickin’ in the Pines have announced the artist lineup for their 2023 event, which will take place at Fort Tuthill County Park in Flagstaff, Ariz., on Sept. 15 through 17. The festival’s 17th iteration will feature a mix of established bluegrass artists and rising acoustic musicians, with top-billing acts, from Molly Tuttle & The Golden Highway to Railroad Earth. Sam Bush Band will headline on Sunday night, performing a special tribute to the legendary acoustic composer John Hartford.

The Ronnie Bowman Band will also take the stage, along with bluegrass ensemble Sister Sadie, Americana duo Darin & Brooke Aldridge, The California Bluegrass Reunion and The Sam Grisman Project. Up-and-coming musicians on the bill include the Jacob Jolliff Band, Full Cord and East Nash Grass. Additional sets are expected from Damn Tall Buildings, Blue Canyon Boys, Tray Wellington Band, Lonesome Ace Stringband, The Cross-eyed Possum and Mark Miracle & Friends. More artists are expected to be announced here.

In addition to live music, the folks behind the festival–Flagstaff Friends of Traditional Music (FFOTM)–will organize family-friendly educational workshops, as well as a band contest for festival-goers. Fans can also enjoy three nights of on-site camping and jamming in the beautiful Arizona mountains.

Tickets for music and camping will be available on March 1, at 10 a.m. MT on the festival website. Admission for children under 14 is free if accompanied by an adult ticket holder.
