Phish Announce New Year’s Return to Madison Square Garden

Despite some recent COVID-related hiccups on Trey Anastasio’s solo-band tour, Phish will officially return to Madison Square Garden from Dec. 29 through Jan. 1.

This run will mark the band’s first shows at the famed NYC venue since New Year’s 2019/2020, where Anastasio famously got stuck in the venue’s rafters, leading to his now-infamous “Rescue Squad” improv. (Anastasio later revisited the mishap during a taped Halloween segment for his crowdless run at The Beacon Theater.)

According to the band, “A ticket request period is now underway…(ending Monday, October 4th at noon ET). Tickets go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, October 8th at noon ET… A limited number of travel packages (hotel and tickets) will go on sale Thursday, October 7th at noon ET.”

Additionally, “All ticket holders 12 and older must provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19. Children 11 and under must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test result taken within 48 hours prior to when doors open for each show. For everyone’s safety, please wear a mask at Phish shows.”
