My Morning Jacket have announced a special Halloween show dubbed The Halloween Costume Ball and Celebration in their hometown of Louisville, Ky. The single-night affair is slated for Oct. 29, with a lively performance that will take place at the KFC Yum! Center alongside openers Producing a Kind Generation and The Louisville Leopard Percussionists.
The band’s spooky one-night appearance will make up for their canceled run of Louisville shows which were scheduled to take place on June 24 and 25, before frontman Jim James tested positive for COVID-19. Ticket holders for the previous shows will receive an email from Production Simple granting them first access to presale passes, beginning on Wednesday, Aug. 10 at 10 a.m. E.T.
To commemorate the ghoulish occasion, My Morning Jacket has urged attendees to come prepared with their best Halloween attire. A portion of the profits will be donated Change Today, Change Tomorrow.
Remaining tickets for the Halloween extravaganza will be available for purchase on Ticketmaster Friday, Aug. 12 at 10 a.m. E.T.
