Mick Taylor, Bruce Springsteen, Lady Gaga and The Black Keys Will Join The Rolling Stones in New Jer

December 12, 2012

Last month at London’s 02 Arena, former Rolling Stones lead guitarist Mick Taylor reunited with the group, sitting in on “Midnight Rambler” for the band’s two shows. The Stones have now confirmed that he will appear with the band for its two performances at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ on December 13 and 15. The group had previously announced that they will be joined by Bruce Springsteen, Lady Gaga and The Black Keys on the 15th but no other guests have been confirmed as yet for the 13th.

Taylor, had performed in John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers from 1966–69, following Eric Clapton and Peter Green in this role. Mayall recommended him to the Rolling Stones in 1969 after Brian Jones left the group. Taylor appeared with the Stones in the studio for their Let It Bleed sessions and remained through 1974, giving way to Ron Wood, during work on It’s Only Rock ’n Roll.

This evening The Rolling Stones will participate at tonight’s “12-12-12: A Concert for Sandy Relief” benefit at Madison Square Garden.
