‘Little Feat: The Documentary’ To Premiere Later This Month

The sweeping saga of Little Feat finally will be explored in film form. The world premiere of Little Feat: The Documentary is set for Saturday, February 21. The screening will take place at the Wilma Theatre in Missoula, MT as part of the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival.

Jesse Lauter, who previously directed Learning To Live Together: The Return of Mad Dogs & Englishmen, which explores the 2015 reunion of Mad Dogs tour alums facilitated by the Tedeschi Trucks Band at LOCKN’, has taken the helm for the new film. The documentary draws together previously unseen archival footage, live performances, conversations with the band members and reflections from Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne, Emmylou Harris and Elvis Costello, along with members of the Grateful Dead, The Doobie Brothers and Phish. Little Feat: The Documentary is narrated by Jeff Bridges.

The band notes, “The focus of this documentary is on the work, telling our story from our self-titled debut through our most recent records and tours. It’s a tale about the grind, the craft, and the alchemy… and how we’ve managed to keep this thing going for more than a half century!”

Tickets are now on sale for the world premiere, with additional screenings to follow over the months to come.
