LCD Soundsystem Announce Eight Show Bay Area Run
LCD Soundsystem have announced they’ll perform for eight evenings in the Bay Area this August. The run of shows will take place at The Fox Theatre in Oakland, Calf. on Aug. 16, 17, 18 and 19 and The Warfield in San Francisco on Aug. 21, 22, 23 and 24.
The Bay Area residencies mark another extended stay from LCD Soundsystem who have been celebrating 20 years together as a band across the world. The collective recently performed four nights at both the Franklin Music Hall in Philadelphia and the Roadrunner in Boston in late March and early May respectively. They also have another residency lined up before the Bay Area shows at the Brixton 02 Academy in London on June 29 and July 1 through 3.
Over the past year, they took on many interesting high-profile projects including serving as musical guest on a John Mulaney–hosted episode of Saturday Night Live, and releasing a holiday special starring Macaulay Culkin, Aparna Nancherla, and Eric Wareheim, last Christmas.
