John Scofield Kicks Off US Tour with Six-Night Run at The Blue Note (A Gallery)

On Feb. 1, American jazz-rock guitarist and composer, John Scofield kicked off his U.S. tour with the first evening of a six-night run at The Blue Note Jazz Club, in New York City.
The project titled Yankee Go Home features Scofield on guitar, Jon Cowherd on piano, bassist Vicente Archer and percussionist Josh Dion. The project has been praised for its dynamic solos, undaunting bursts of volume, and mastery of sound that could only develop over 50 years.
