Jim James has confirmed some additional information about his first solo album, Regions of Light and Sound of God. The My Morning Jacket leader will release the project on February 5 via his longtime label ATO. As previously reported, James recorded the album almost entirely on is own, playing most of the instruments on the album and engineering the project. The press release points on that the album was inspired by Lynd Ward’s 1929 graphic novel God’s Man.

Regions of Light and Sound of God is available in several different formats on James’ redesigned website. Visitors can also download the song “Know Til Now” for free.
