Hot August Music Festival has unveiled the full artist lineup for its 2024 presentation, set to return to Cockeysille, Md.’s Oregon Ridge Park on August 10. This year’s roster will be led by Grace Potter and Snarky Puppy, with a slew of jam scene favorites and up-and-comers filling out the bill. After last year’s 30th anniversary celebration, this marks the second event since the festival transferred to new management.

Hot August Music Festival will arrive at the season’s peak as a much-needed communal outing under the summer sun. 3,000-5,000 attendees are anticipated for the intimate festival’s one day, single-stage format, headlined by jam-centered singer-songwriter Grace Potter and five time Grammy-winning funk-fusion ensemble Snarky Puppy. Neal Francis, Eggy, Sam Grisman Project and Cris Jacobs–the Maryland fixture returning after supporting last year’s staging–are also slated to perform, as will Pressing Strings, PRS Eightlock and the newly formed Hot August Collective. Last year’s impressive anniversary roster included area legends Little Feat and Oteil Burbridge & Friends, plus Ripe, Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country, Karina Rykman and more.

Beyond the music, Hot August also offers a range of children’s and family activities, such as a harmonica workshop and hat-making classes. The event will also feature an assortment of gourmet treats and singular crafts from an array of esteemed vendors and artisans. For attendees eager to take the show home, the festival offers a pro-taping policy, enabling guests to record performances from a designated tapers area near the stage. With the festival’s return, new show-runner Ryan Glaeser shared with NBC4 that he aimed to “keep this thing alive, and keep making something that’s cool, and fun, and just brings people joy.”
