Goose Tease Destination Concert with Cryptic Message: “Buy the Ticket, Take the Ride”

Goose have jumped to the headlines again today with another cryptic dispatch via social channels. At 1 p.m. ET, the highly acclaimed indie groove outfit issued a post to Twitter, Facebook and Instagram with a short, looping video: A neon sign flickers to life, illuminating the back corner of a sparsely decorated restaurant, with key details alighting like a bottle of Cholula and a portrait of Emiliano Zapata. The sign itself reads “Buy the ticket, take the ride,” words famously written by Hunter S. Thompson in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

Goose’s post links to a website,, which gives some more color on the band’s new move with a date and time–Baja, Mexico, from May 8-10, 2025. By all logic, this obscure message seems to allude to a new concert vacation from the band, likely in the vein of prominent jam getaways like Phish’s Riviera Maya, The String Cheese Incident’s The Mexico Incident, Gov’t Mule’s Island Exodus and many more. For more details as they arrive, fans should register for email for SMS updates through the site.

This cryptic announcement recalls Goose’s abstract, psychedelic videos from January, which were ultimately revealed to be samples from Ted Tapes 2024, the band’s first release with new drummer Cotter Ellis. Widely known for its fun and intrigue-forward fan service, similarly exemplified during its expansive run at The Capitol Theatre, this shift on social media teases brings the band’s passion for exciting its community to new heights.

Goose will take the stage tomorrow, June 14, to headline Swanzey, N.H.’s Northlands Music & Arts Festival. For more information on the band’s summer tour plans, visit
