George Wein Cofirms Dates for Newport Folk and Newport Jazz 2011

The Newport Jazz Festival debuted in 1954 and the Newport Folk Festival premiered five years later. George Wein, who has produced both events from the start, has confirmed that they will return in 2011. The Newport Folk Festival will be held at Fort Adams State Park on July 29 – 31 while the Newport Jazz Festival is slated for August 5 – 7.
